Looking back on my high school life in the 1980s and ‘90s I had plenty to cringe at (orange foundation much?). But nothing gave me the heebie-jeebies quite like the lost and found box. I gag at the thought of the typical contents of the cardboard box stuffed in the corner of our gym teacher’s office: one weirdly stained sock, jean jacket with yellowed collar or the ashtray scented AC/DC t-shirt. Nobody in their right mind EVER claimed their stuff back! In that case the lost stayed lost for good reason.
But what about when you feel lost and you want to be found? That’s a different story altogether!
