Eleanor, I enjoyed this article very much even though I came from the previous generation. I was born in 1960 in Japan. I move to New York in 1981 and met my husband. He was a macrobiotic chef and into Taichi. I came from Japan, but the kids in Japan in that time were all dreaming about America and wanted to be Americanized! I was amazed to see Americans are so into the stuff Asians threw out. My husband taught me Ying and Yang philosophy which I’ve never learned in Japan as well as Lao Tzu and George Ohsawa! I have kids of 80s, 90s and 2000s. I love all the characteristics of each generation. I’m so glad to know about Gen X! Thanks!
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed my article. It's interesting the perspectives of different countries through the generations. I also was surprised when I learned about Reiki and became a Reiki teacher, but many Japanese people I met had never heard of it (even though it originated in Japan).
